Monique Couvson, Ed.D. is the President & CEO of Grantmakers for Girls of Color, the nation’s only philanthropic organization explicitly focused on resourcing movements and organizations led by, and in support of, girls and femmes of color. Dr. Morris is an award-winning author and social justice scholar with three decades of experience in the areas of education, civil rights, juvenile and criminal justice. An expert fundraiser and grantee, Dr. Morris has launched funds which have granted over $5 million and seek to mobilize over $1 billion in investments centering Black girls over the next 10 years.
