Our new brand is reflection of our renewed commitment to social justice and equity as we build power for a better tomorrow.

After 25 years, Tides Advocacy and our partners continue to be at the leading edge of movements for lasting policy change. We are building power, mobilizing communities, and transforming systems to create a world of shared prosperity and social justice through fierce collaboration.

In that spirit, we’ve taken some steps to live into our vision:In 2017, we changed our name from The Advocacy Fund to Tides Advocacy because we recognize the power of our network and the urgency to leverage multifaceted strategies to achieve social change.

In 2018, we strengthened our commitment to building political power with the people most affected by injustice. We believe that communities most impacted by injustice have the experiential wisdom and policy solutions we need. Equity is at the center of our work, and this is what our new brand is built on.

We are delivering investments and infrastructure that result in the policy wins we need more than ever. That’s why we work with the most innovative and influential lawyers, activists, journalists, policymakers, and donors of our times.

“Leading Edge” captures the essence of who we are, how we work, what we believe, and who we collaborate with. We seek out and fuel unconventional approaches and people at the front lines, all with a goal of building power and winning policy change.

This new brand articulates our core values.We are unleashing the power of our network to advance policies and systems that work for each and every one of us. We hope to partner with you in this work!
